Road Forward Scholarship

The Road Forward Scholarship Fund was established to fulfill the dream of higher education for economically challenged, local East End high school seniors. We award scholarships to two-year/four-year colleges or trade schools.

To help ensure the success of our students, we’ve created an active mentoring program.

Our Students

Our recipients are students who otherwise cannot afford to attend college and who have often suffered extreme hardship in a variety of circumstances, such as abandonment or loss of parents.

Many students are first generation college applicants and while attending high school, they often work to help support their families and participate in community activities.

“It’s my dream for people of color to all have a safe space – mentally, physcially, and intellectually.
Nursing will be one of my ways of contributing to their comfort and safety.”

Bridgehampton High School / Boston College, Nursing

“It means so much to know the community has faith in my abilities to contribute back and make this world a better place.”

Pierson High School, Sag Harbor / Wheaton College, Political Science

“All my life I have been encouraged by my parents to contribute to our community. I have learned that through small consistent acts of service you can make an impact.”

Ross High School / Franklin University Switzerland, Economics
